Full Hook-Up

Regular campsite for self-contained campers and includes electricity, water, and sewage near the Expo or Horse barns. Contract and payment must be received by May 15th.  No exceptions.

Rules

A Preble County Agricultural Society Membership or a Weekly Pass is required to purchase or apply for a camping permit. All passes will include a QR code and must be scanned at the fair gates upon entry.
If your camper doesn’t fit legally in your spot, you cannot bring the camper to the fair.  
If you don’t have a camper placed on your site by 8:00 am Saturday of the Fair, you will forfeit your site.
All campers must use approved food-grade water hoses.
Only one camper unit is permitted at each campsite. The camping permit must be displayed in a prominent area to facilitate wastewater pumping service
New for 2026: Utility hookups are permitted beginning the weekend prior to the Fair and continuing through the first Sunday following the Fair.  All campers must be removed from the grounds no later than August 16th.  
The campsite must be kept clean—no dumping of holding tanks on the grounds.
Wastewater pumping service is available at a nominal fee. (Check with Office)
No one under the age of 18 is permitted to stay overnight without adult supervision.
No campfires or open fires permitted.
Live-in Livestock Trailers are permitted in the camping area if living quarters are permanent and livestock quarters are clean. One car per site (no pick-up trucks permitted) - Room Permitting
Hay or Straw is not permitted in any Camping Area.
Identified fire lanes or driveways must always be kept open. (Vehicles parked in the fire lane will be towed at the owner’s expense.) Vehicles must be moved for septic removal.
Tents are allowed only in the Generator and Primitive Camping areas.
The camping area curfew is the same as the Midway curfew.
Speed limit in and around the camping area is 5 mph, which includes golf carts and utility vehicles.  (No ATV/4 Wheelers permitted on the fairgrounds.  
The subleasing of campsites will not be tolerated. Anyone caught subleasing (both parties involved) will be banned from camping in the future.
Full and Partial Hook-Up Campsite Permits must be paid by May 15th of the current year. No exceptions.  
No Alcohol, abusive drugs, inappropriate language, or improper behavior will be permitted on the fairgrounds or in the camping area.
Fair Camp Spot Waiting List Policy - To be placed on the fair camp spot waiting list, applicants must purchase a Preble County Agricultural Society Membership or Weekly Pass and verify their waiting list status before May 15 of the current year. This verification must be completed every year to remain on the list. Failure to purchase a pass by May 15 will result in removal from the waiting list. 
Violation of any of the camping rules or law violations may result in the loss of camping privileges. The Preble County Agricultural Society Board of Directors will make this determination. The loss of the camping privilege will require the individual involved to be removed from the camping list for future years. Individuals may reapply and be placed on the active waiting list.
Cancellation of Campsite: REGISTRATION FEE WILL BE FORFEITED AND YOUR CAMPSITE WILL BE RENTED IF NOT NOTIFIED BY SUNDAY NOON PRIOR TO FAIR WEEK.
If your check bounces, your spot will be forfeited.  
NO POP-UPS IN EXPO OR HORSE ARENA CAMPGROUNDS.
Camping Spot Transfers:  Preble County Fair camping spots may only be transferred from the current registered camper to an immediate family member. Immediate family is defined as a spouse, parent, child, sibling, or grandparent. Camping spots may not be sold, assigned, or transferred to non‑family members or third parties.
All transfers must be approved by the Preble County Agricultural Society and follow all current camping rules and payment requirements. Any unauthorized transfer or subleasing of a campsite will result in the loss of camping privileges for future fairs.
The Preble County Agricultural Society, Preble County Agricultural Society Board of Directors, and the Preble County Commissioners are not responsible for injuries to people, items, equipment, or accidents on the Preble County Fairgrounds.

CAMPING RULES FOR GENERATOR AND PRIMITIVE 

Each generator spot is 30′ × 30′. Any camper larger than one generator spot must purchase one additional generator spot.
Only one camper/tent unit is permitted at each campsite.
All lots will be marked by Wednesday evening prior to the start of the fair.
Those interested in a generator or a primitive camping spot must come to the Secretary’s office to choose their lot before placing their camper on the lot.
The lots will be on sale starting at 8:00 am on June 1, 2026.
You must be 18 years of age or older to put a lot into your name.
All regular camping rules apply.
There must not be any generators running at any time in primitive campgrounds.
Any person running a generator in primitive camping will be asked to leave the grounds.
